Fontenay Abbey

P.S. One of the things I focus on when I talk or teach and, most of all, think about wine is culture.

P.S.2 Today, despite all the intellectual progresses we should have done, we still have frontiers in our heads.

P.S.3 One of the biggest frontier is trying to understand a wine coming from a specific region using the mindset we developed while living in our own region.

This axiom applies to many other parts of our lives.

It is a bit like the IWW trenches were still in our heads: beyond the barbed wire or the "limes" lives someone that doesn´t think like us and it´s guilty of that.

P.S.4 There is no wine knowledge or competence without awareness of the past of a culture, of a population, of a region and all the troubles that they have been through.

P.S.5 The past matters for our future, also for wine.
